赤倉鉱山 (Akakura Kōzan)

赤倉鉱山は秋田県大館市にあった鉱山。岩瀬川支流の赤倉沢沿いに位置する。 1903(明治36)年5月に山梨県出身の長沢市蔵に試掘許可が与えられ、1905(明治38)年10月より採掘。その後鉱業権は転々とし、硫黄赤倉鉱業(株)により硫黄が採掘された。 最盛期の昭和初期には300人規模の鉱山集落があった。 1939(昭和14)年松尾鉱山に売却され、1941(昭和16)年7月閉山。 1915(大正4)年7月には赤倉分教場が設置されている。当初は教師1名生徒16名だったが昭和初期には41人の生徒がいたという。 建物跡、軌道跡などの遺構が見られる。

Akakura Mine

Akakura Mine was a mine in Odate City, Akita Prefecture. It is located along the red Kurasawa tributary of Iwase River. In May 1903, a prospecting license was given to the Nagasawa city store from Yamanashi prefecture, and it was mined from October 1905 (Meiji 38). After that the mining rights took turns, and sulfur was mined by Sulfur Akkura Mining Co., Ltd. Early in the Showa era during the peak period there were 300 mine villages of scale. It was sold to the Matsuo mine in 1939 (Showa 14), closed in July 1941. In July 1915 (Taisho 4) the Akakura Division was established. Initially there were 16 teachers and 16 students, but in the early Showa period there were 41 students. You can see the remains of buildings, orbit tracks.
