白沢鉱山 (Shirasawa Kōzan)

白沢鉱山は秋田県湯沢市にあった鉱山。銀・銅が採掘された。 宝永年間(1704-1710年)以前の発見とも言われる。宝永6年仙台出身の山師・山野目小平太によって開坑された。寛政年間(1789-1800年)、佐竹藩の重要鉱山として請山となった。 安政4年(1857年)から明治3年(1870年)まで休山。明治4年再坑され、大正3年に新鉱脈を発見し、銅鉱石285tを出鉱。昭和9年、準重要鉱山に指定され年間400tの銅鉱を採掘した。 昭和25(1950)年閉山(昭和30年代とも)。 現在跡地はりんご園になっている。 北西に隣接して来田鉱山(らいでんこうざん)、さらに北西に大倉鉱山があったがいずれも果樹園等になり遺構は見られない。 来田鉱山は明治30年代より金・銀・銅・鉛・亜鉛(黒鉱)が採掘され、大日本鉱業(株)が経営、1935年頃に休山したのち閉山した。

Shirasawa mine

Shirasawa mine was a mine in Yuzawa city, Akita prefecture. Silver and copper were mined. It is said to have been discovered before Hoei years (1704 - 1710). It was opened by Yamanaka, Yamanegumi Kodaira who was born in Sendai six years ago. During the Kankei annual period (1789-1800), it became a shipyard as an important mine of the Satake clan. It is closed from the 4th year of Ansei (1857) until the 18th year of Meiji 3 (1870). In the Meiji 4 year re-pitched, discovered a new vein in Taisho 3 year, and drew 285 tons of copper ore. In 1945, it was designated as a semi-important mine and mined 400 t of copper ore per year. Showa 25 (1950) closed the mountain (in the Showa 30s). Currently the site is an apple garden. There was a Kurihada mine adjacent to the northwest, and Okura mine in the northwest, but both were orchards and no remnants could be seen. Kinda mine was mined by gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc (black ore) from the Meiji 30's, closed by the Dainippon Mining Co., Ltd. after the operation closed around 1935.
