豊国炭鉱 (Toyokuni Tankō)

豊国炭鉱は福岡県田川郡糸田町にあった炭鉱。 1899年に爆発事故で210名の死者・行方不明者を出しており、1907年には死者・行方不明者365人と明治期最悪の事故が起こっている。この事故で資本出資していた三井が撤退、明治鉱業が引き継ぎ1960年の閉山まで操業した。 ボタ山跡は住宅地となり、鉱業所跡は長らく空き地として残っていたが、現在は大型スーパー食彩館となっている。 地図位置にコンクリート遺構が見られる。また鉱業所跡南西側にボタ(松岩)で作った石垣が残っていたが、現況不詳。他にレンガ遺構などもあった。

Toyokuni Coal Mine

The Toyokuni Coal Mine was a coal mine located in Itoda Town, Tagawa-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. In 1899, 210 people were killed and missing due to an explosion accident, and in 1907 there were 365 dead and missing people, the worst accident in the Meiji period occurred. Mitsui withdrew its capital from the accident, and the Meiji Mining took over and operated until the closed mountain in 1960. The Bota mountain mark became a residential area, the mining site remains as a vacant lot for a long time, but now it is a large supermarket building. Concrete remnants can be seen in the map position. Also, stone walls made of Bota (Matsuwa) remained on the southwestern side of the mining site, but the current situation is unknown.
