矢部線 (Yabesen)

矢部線(やべせん)は、かつて福岡県筑後市の羽犬塚駅と八女郡黒木町(現・八女市)の黒木駅とを結んでいた、日本国有鉄道(国鉄)の鉄道路線(地方交通線)である。1980年の国鉄再建法施行にともない第1次特定地方交通線に指定され、1985年に全線が廃止された。 廃止後、線路跡の一部は整備され、福岡県道96号線の一部となっている。また、駅跡地も大半が撤去され、道路の一部や建造物の敷地に姿を変えており、旧筑後福島駅は公園として整備されている。 旧国鉄の境界杭、橋台跡、隧道跡などの遺構が見られる。

Yabe Line

The Yabe Line (Yeben) is a railroad line of the National State Railway (National Rail) (local railway line) that had previously joined the Kuroki station of Kuroki Town (now · Yame city) of Hakubazuka Station in Chikugo City in Fukuoka Prefecture ). In accordance with the enforcement of the National Railway Rehabilitation Law in 1980, it was designated as the 1st Specified Regional Transportation Line, and in 1985 the whole line was abolished.
