河東鉱山 (Kawatō Kōzan)

河東鉱山は福岡県宗像市にあった鉱山。 金・銅・鉛が採掘された。 江戸時代に黒田藩の宗像金山として開発された。 昭和23年頃から昭和42年頃、宮崎起一により稼行、昭和55年9月11日に鉱区廃止。昭和40年代には既に閉山状態だったらしい。 新鉱物「宗像石」の発見地としても知られる。 道路沿いに土管状の遺構らしきものが見られるほか、倒壊しかけた鉱山住宅らしい建物、トロッコレール跡、坑口跡が残る。

Haodong mine

Haodong mine was a mine in Munakata city, Fukuoka prefecture. Gold, copper and lead were mined. It was developed as a Munakata Kanayama of the Kuroda clan in the Edo period.
