小倉炭鉱 (Ogura Tankō)

小倉炭鉱は福岡県北九州市小倉北区にあった炭鉱。 1938(昭和13)年に山口県宇部市の出資組合が事業化。50年代前半の最盛期には年間出炭量が約20万トンを記録し、2千人近い従業員を擁したという。 大畠地区には本事務所や主要坑口、人車坑、選炭場、巻き場、ホッパー、修理工場、貯木場などが並んでいたという。 出水事故が相次ぎ、1940年5月25日に第一坑で起きた出水では40人が犠牲となった。 広寿山福聚寺には殉職者慰霊塔(1948年3月28日建立)が建てられている。 1965年に閉山。 異例なほど関連施設が解体され、ボタ山もなく、遺構は見られない。 212年7月に縦坑跡が出土したが、すぐに撤去されてしまった。

Kokura Coal Mine

Ogura coal mine was a coal mine in Kitakyushu city Fukuoka prefecture Kokura Kita ward. In 1938, the investment association of Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, was commercialized. In the peak period of the early 1950's, the annual coal output amounted to about 200 thousand tons and said that it had nearly 2,000 people. The office, main entrance, human car pit, coal mining plant, stadium, hopper, repair shop, storehouse, etc. were lined up in Ohachi district. A series of flood accidents occurred, and 40 people were sacrificed in the floodwater that occurred at the first pit on May 25, 1940. In Guangzhou Mountain Fukujuji there is a memorial tower of the deceased (built on March 28, 1948). Closed mountain in 1965. Unusually the related facilities were dismantled, there were no mountains and no remnants were seen. Vertical machinery was excavated in July, 212, but it was immediately removed.
