(Unjō Kōzan)

Mizukami mine

Kuzami mine is a mine located in Tono city (formerly Miyagori-cho), Iwate prefecture. Iron ore was mined. Outcrop was found around the Meiji 39 period. Tatsuyoshi Tonokichi's Takkichi Toshikichi set up a mining area for the first time. Then mining rights moved to Aki Terui, Nintaro Kimura and others and operated by hand digging. In the Taisho era, use as iron ore was considered, but at that time it was abandoned because there was a lot of titanium content. After that dream of Hanamaki through Kikuike Hikujiro, around 1954, we moved to management of solder forest of Morioka and called solder mine. In May 1954 it was renamed the Mt. Kuzuki and started developing the Ohata ore deposit. The map is an approximate point.
