大ヶ生金山 (Dai Ke Sei Kanayama)

大ヶ生金山(大萱生鉱山、おおがゆきんざん)は、岩手県盛岡市大ヶ生に存在した金・銀の鉱山。大萱生鉱山とも。現在は萬寿坑、大生坑などの坑道が残されている。 歴史は古い金山だが、明治36年、秋田県の細川氏が旧坑を見つけて採掘を再開した。幾度が経営者が変わり、村上氏の経営に移ると大断層の先で金鉱脈に着脈し、その後住友金属鉱山に経営が移ると最盛期を迎え、大生坑、明星坑、永楽坑など多数の坑道が掘られた。 1940年には新たに宝生坑が開坑したが、その三年後、太平洋戦争の激化による金山整備令によって多くの残鉱を残して閉山、坑道は湧水で水没した。 萬寿坑(万寿抗)が整備され公開されている他、元山抗(大生坑)が残る。
