大谷鉱山は鹿児島県指宿市にあった鉱山。 金・銀・鉛・亜鉛が採掘された。 1844（弘化元）年に発見されるが、当時の技術では採鉱困難で4年後に休止。 1887（明治20）年、新しい鉱脈が発見され採鉱再開。最盛期には1000人近い労働者を擁した。 第二次世界大戦開戦後に休止。 坑道跡やコンクリート基礎跡が残るという。
Otani mine was a mine in Ibusuki city, Kagoshima prefecture. Gold, silver, lead and zinc were mined.
