越知町立桐見川小学校 (Ochi Chōritsu Kirimigawa Shōgakkō)

越知町立桐見川小学校は高知県高岡郡越知町にあった学校。県道18号付近に位置する。 山を切り開いて建てられた校舎は、まさに崖っぷちにたっており、車で学校まで行くには急な坂道を1kmほど登らないといけない立地である。 1877(明治10)年11月に開校。1895(明治28)年10月に現在地に移転。 1947(昭和22)年、6.3制の義務教育制発足の際に「大桐村立桐見川小中学校」となる。 1954(昭和29)年、旧越知町が大桐村、吾川郡横畠村と合併した事により「越知町立桐見川小中学校」に改称。 1969(昭和44)年、中学校再編により横畠中学校・小日浦中学校・大平中学校とともに越知中学校に統合され桐見川中学校が廃校。 1981(昭和56)年、鉄筋2階建ての新校舎完成。1985(昭和60)年、新体育館完成。 1998(平成10)年3月、最後の児童(1名)が卒業して休校。 2012(平成24)年に廃校となった。 現在、校舎は公民館、体育館は集会所として再利用されている。

Ochi Town Kirimigawa Elementary School

Kochi Town Kirimigawa Elementary School is a school located in Ochi-cho, Takaoka-gun, Kochi Prefecture. Located near prefectural road 18. The school building, which was built by opening up a mountain, is located on a cliff, and you have to climb a steep hill about 1 km to reach the school by car. Opened in November 1877. Moved to current location in October 1895. In 1947, when the 6.3 compulsory education system was established, it became “Ogiri Village Kirimigawa Elementary School”. In 1954 (Showa 29), the former Kochi-cho was renamed “Ochi-cho Kirimigawa Elementary and Junior High School” after merging with Ogiri-mura and Yokomine-son, Yodogawa-gun. In 1969 (Showa 44), by reorganization of junior high school, it was integrated with Yokohama junior high school, Kohinoura junior high school, Ohira junior high school in Ochi junior high school, and Kirimigawa junior high school was closed. In 1981 (Showa 56), a new school building with two-story reinforcing steel was completed. New gymnasium completed in 1985. In March 1998, the last child (1 person) graduated and was closed. The school was closed in 2012. Currently, the school building is reused as a public hall and the gymnasium as a meeting place.
