(Kokumin Shukusha Muroto)

National Residence Muroto

Muro is a accommodation facility trace in Muroto Cape Town, Muroto city, Kochi prefecture. It is located near the prefectural road No. 203 Muroto park line (Muroto skyline). In January 1970, in response to the opening of the Muroto Skyline, the Muroto City requested the construction of a national lodging in Kochi prefecture for the purpose of improving the attitude of receiving more tourists. Construction began on December 12, the same year, the ceremony was held on July 17th of 1971 (Showa 46), and started business from July 20th. Total construction cost including the main building of the reinforcing bar two story building and the attached part of the 3 story building was 125 million yen, the parking lot was established on the roof of the main building connecting the connecting road because of the site condition of the plateau, the 3rd floor of the round attached part There is an anecdotal story that it was reluctant to approve that "it is too discouraging" from the Ministry of Health and Welfare at that time. (* 1) It was closed as October 31, 2005, Muroto City made a public offering of sold in 2007, but the dismantlement cost of facilities and the National Park Law (locally Muroto Anan Coast There were problems such as within the National Park) and the buyer did not attach. Currently it seems that there is no schedule for dismantling for the time being, from the judgment of city council that "there is no big influence on the landscape, and there is a problem of expenses that Muroto City can not dismantle national assistance even if it is dismantled". (* 2) There is also a skyrest / New Muroto nearby, there is also a story saying "The day called the two major ruins of Muroto Cape is close". The gate is built in the entrance of the site and managed by Muroto City. * 1: Kochi Shimbun on January 24, Showa 45, December 13, July 18, Showa 46 * 2: From Muroto City Council · From No. 86 (issued on August 1, 1978)
