(Sen Mai Onsen Sen Mai Sō)

Senbu hot spring · Senjo (formerly Higashikawa elementary school site)

Senbu hot spring · Senjusa is a spa facility site located in Suigun-cho, Kagami Town, Konan City, Kochi Prefecture. Located near the prefectural road No. 221. Originally this place was Kagami Town Higashikawa Elementary School (Komaki-gun Kagami Town at the time of abandonment) that opened in 1875 (Meiji 8), but it was abolished in March of 1975 (Showa 50). After that, "Senjo" was built on the site of the school building, and as a hot spring facility began operation in 1977 (Showa 52), this area is about 10 km away from the National Road No. 55 of the main road, Because it is located in inconvenient places accessed by the prefectural road unique to the village, it was not quite stable management and closed in 2004 (Heisei 16). The pool remained at the innermost part of the premises, and now it is the only remnant of school days. You can see school buildings in the "Aerial photographs 1974 ~ 1978" of the map function (Shooting in September 1975, during hot spring bowling).
