中追渓谷 (Nakaoi Keikoku)

中追渓谷は高知県吾川郡いの町にある渓谷、観光施設後。 1971(昭和46)年に中追渓谷観光社により有料観光地として開発され、温泉やレジャー施設が建設された。風光明媚な土地で「四国の自然百景」にも選ばれている。 翠嵐峡と呼ばれる断崖絶壁となった勝賀瀬川下流に、水面からの高さが100mの人道吊橋「夢の吊橋」が架かっており、「四国一高い歩道吊橋」と称された。 その他、川を渡るゴンドラ、遊具類、猿や猪の飼育場やフィールド・アスレチックのあった「冒険の森」、ポニー乗馬、釣り堀、天然プール、郷土資料館、温泉、武道館、研修施設、そうめん流し、茶室、バンガロー等があり、高知県屈指のレジャー観光地だった。 昭和50年代までは盛況であったが、その後中追渓谷観光社は廃業、跡地は老人ホームに売却され、主要な建物のみ改装再利用されている。 他の建物は廃墟化し、遊歩道には朽ちた廃橋が複数見られ、「夢の吊橋」も通行不能な状態となっている。 私有地ながら17時はでは敷地内への立ち入りが許されている。 危険箇所に近づくことはできないが、夢の吊橋や郷土資料館跡、釣り堀跡、ゴンドラ跡などの外観を確認できる。
