高井鉱山 (Takai Kōzan)

高井鉱山は長野県上高井郡高山村にあった鉱山。 樋沢川沿いの標高1300m付近に位置し、昭和18年から34年まで褐鉄鉱が採掘された。 また同じく高井鉱山として、樋沢川源流の標高1700m付近に位置する鉱山があり、小串硫黄鉱山の前身となった。大正時代に鉱区が群馬県側に移された。 南方に位置する後者の高井鉱山跡にはコンクリート遺構、小串鉱山に向かうらしい電線などが見られる。また付近には架空索道の鉄塔なども残る。 前者の高井鉱山跡には慰霊碑が残る。

Takai Mine

Takai Mine is a mine in Takayama village, Kamikitai gun, Nagano Prefecture. Located at an altitude of 1,300 m along the Higasawa River, limonite was mined from 1947 to 1934. Also as Takai mine, there is a mine located near the 1,700 m altitude of the source of Hivawa River source, which was the predecessor of the Kokushi sulfur mine. During the Taisho era the mining area was transferred to Gunma prefecture side. At the latter Takai mining site located in the south, concrete remains, and electric wires that seem to go to the small skew mine, etc. can be seen. Also near the tower of the imaginary cableway also remains. The memorial monument remains at the former Takai mine ruins.
