(Yumiharidake Hōdai)

Yumerodake Battery

Yumerodake is a former military facility located in Yusure Idle (Yumihari-rake, altitude 364 m) in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. It was said that it was built shortly in about four months in 1941. In the air raid in June 1945 (1945) I fought with about 300 shooting fires, but there were no battle results. It is being maintained as the Yumigari sailplate ruins plaza centering on radar marks. In the Showa 40's, it was constructed as a relief project for unemployed people by coal mines closed. In addition to the two remaining stored in the exterior appearance at that time, there are other brick structures such as command post office trace bricks.
