中ノ島は長崎県長崎市にある島。軍艦島（端島）の隣に位置する。 明治期に軍艦島よりも早く開発された炭鉱島だったが、坑内の湧き水によりわずか9年で閉山。その後は端島住民のための水上緑地公園や火葬場、墓地として使われていた。 海岸には石積の堤防跡や煉瓦造りの遺構があり、竪坑跡や火葬場跡など、多くの遺構が見られる。
Nakanoshima island in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki prefecture. It is located next to the warship island (Toshima). It was a coal mine developed earlier than the warship island in the Meiji era, but it closed only 9 years due to the spring water in the well. After that it was used as a water park green park, a crematorium, and a graveyard for Toshima residents. On the coast there are embankment traces of masonry and brick construction remnants, and many remains such as ruins of the pit and crematorium traces are seen.
