増田水力真人発電所 (Masuda Suiryoku Shinjin Hatsuden Sho)

増田水力真人発電所(まとはつでんしょ)は秋田県横手市(旧・増田町)の発電所。国道342号線、成瀬川沿いに位置する。 1904(明治37)年、煙草の製造から販売までを国が管理する「煙草専売法」が施行されたことで解散を余儀なくされた増田煙草会社が、新事業として電力事業に乗り出したことに始まる。 1910(明治43)年、「増田水力電気株式会社」が発足、水利使用認可。同年、増田町を流れる成瀬川を利用した水力発電所「真人発電所」が完成し、翌1911(明治44)年に発電を開始した。 大正年間に徐々に発電力を増し、昭和初期には住宅4万戸以上に電力を供給したという。 戦時下の配電統制令による所有者変更を経て、戦後1951(昭和26)年に東北電力の所有となる。 1967(昭和42)年に廃止された。 国道沿いに遺跡のような美しい施設跡が残されている。

There are beautiful ruins of ruins along the national highway.
