赤羽根鉱山 (Akabane Kōzan)

赤羽根鉱山は福島県耶麻郡西会津町にあった鉱山。 銅・鉛・亜鉛などが採掘された。 天正19年に金山として発見される。寛永年間に金・銀山として栄える。五万洞鉱山・三十両鉱山・山口鉱山・銀鉛沢鉱山・野沢鉱山が次々と開発される。昭和15~16年頃には福島県で屈指の金・銀・銅鉱山であったが、鉱量枯渇等により昭和19年頃に休山。 赤羽根山を中心に数十の坑跡およびズリ跡が残る。

Akabane mine

The Akabane mine was a mine located in Nishi-Aizu-cho, Yama-gun, Fukushima Prefecture. Copper, lead, zinc, etc. were mined. It is discovered as Jinshan in 1923. It prospers as gold · silver mine in Kanaya year. Gimpong-dong mine, thirty-two mines, Yamaguchi mine, Ginzadzawa mine, Nozawa mine are developed one after another. It was one of the best gold, silver and copper mines in Fukushima Prefecture around 1954, but due to the depletion of mineral resources etc., it was closed around 1949. There are dozens of pit tracks and slippage remained around Akabane mountain.
