石ヶ森鉱山 (Ishigamori Kōzan)

石ヶ森鉱山は福島県会津若松市にあった鉱山。 金・銅・石膏が採掘された。 慶長8年、蒲生秀行により金山として開発された。江戸時代~明治時代に金山として稼行。大正11年に東北石膏会社が買収し石膏鉱山として開発。昭和2年に坑道が倒壊し廃山。 昭和9年、風間忠行が継承し竪坑を切り開き再開。昭和10年から金・銅・石膏を出鉱、昭和16年以降は石膏のみが出鉱され昭和40年に操業停止。 竪坑跡、巻上げ機櫓などのコンクリート遺構が見られるほか、通洞坑跡や建物跡が残る。

Ishigamori mine

Ishigamori mine was a mine in Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima Prefecture. Gold, copper and gypsum were mined. It was developed as Jinshan by Hideyuki Gamo in Keicho 8 years. It started as Edo period ~ Meiji era as Jinshan. Tohoku gypsum company acquired in 1911 and developed as gypsum mine. In 1964 the gallery was destroyed and the mountain waste. In 1959, Kazama Tadayuki succeeded and resumed opening up the shaft. From 1963, gold, copper and gypsum were mined, and since 1951 only plaster was mined, and operation stopped in 1960. There are concrete remnants such as trail marks and hoisting machine towers, as well as traces of tunnels and buildings.
