木戸川森林鉄道(芝坂隧道) (Kidokawa Shinrin Tetsudō)

木戸川森林鉄道は福島県にあった森林鉄道。 大正3(1914)年2月、丸三製材所により女平~木戸駅間が敷設されたことに始まる。大正11(1921)年2月に起こった木戸川の氾濫と山崩れにより甚大な被害を蒙り、製材所は全滅したという。 昭和になって木戸川軌道は双葉軌道会社によって管理・整備され、昭和8(1933)年に木戸川軌道は富岡営林署木戸担当区に管理が移管され、「木戸川森林鉄道」となって更なる整備が加えられた。 昭和23(1948)年には、女平から上小川村まで軌道が延長された。 その後、木材運搬の主力がトラックなどに移行した事などにより、昭和36(1961)年頃に廃止された。 地図は芝坂隧道。現隧道の脇に元々は木戸川森林鉄道のトンネルであった旧隧道が残っている。

Kidogawa Forest Railway (Shibasaka Tunway)

The Kidogawa Forest Railway is a forest railway in Fukushima Prefecture. Beginning in February 1914 Taisho 3 was laid by the Maruzo sawmill, between Haitaira and Kibo station. According to the flooding and landslides of the Kidogawa river that occurred in February 1921 Taisho 11 (1921), the sawmill was annihilated as a result of enormous damage. In the Showa era, the Kido river orbit was managed and maintained by the Futaba Orbit Company, and in 1933 the control of the Kidogawa Railway was transferred to the Tomioka Forestry Department Kido District and became "Kidogawa Forest Railway" to become further Maintenance was added. In 1948, the orbit was extended from Gokpyeong to Kamikawa village. Since then, the main force of wood transportation has been shifted to trucks etc, was abolished around 1951 (1961). Map is Shibasaka Tunway. The old tunnel which was originally the tunnel of the Kidogawa Forest Railway is left behind the current tunnel.
