登戸研究所(第九技術研究所) (Noborito Kenkyūjo)

登戸研究所(のぼりとけんきゅうじょ)は、神奈川県川崎市にかつて存在した研究所。大日本帝国陸軍が所管し、各種兵器の開発研究を行った。正式名称は「第9陸軍技術研究所」。 1919年(大正8年)4月に陸軍火薬研究所を改編させて発足した陸軍科学研究所を前身とし、1939年(昭和14年)陸軍省軍事課長・岩畔豪雄大佐による兵器行政改革に伴い第9研究所とされた。1943年(昭和18年)6月、電波兵器部門を多摩陸軍技術研究所へ移管。 敗戦間際に資料の殆どが処分されたため詳細はなお不明である。 戦後、登戸研究所跡地は民間に払い下げられ、慶應義塾大学工学部が使用していたが、1950年(昭和25年)に11万坪のうち3万坪余が明治大学生田キャンパスに払い下げた。 登戸研究所のあった場所は現在の明治大学生田キャンパスにあたり、偽札の製造に使用された「5号棟」および「26号棟」、枯葉剤の研究が行われたと見られる「36号棟」のほか、動物慰霊碑や消火栓など当時の施設がまだ幾つか現存している。

The place where the Doppo Laboratory was located now corresponds to the Ikuta Campus of Meiji University, the "Building No. 5" and "No. 26 Building" which were used for counterfeit bill manufacture, the "No. 36 Building" where the study of defoliants was conducted, Several facilities at the time such as animal memorial monuments and fire hydrants are still present.
