横須賀水道半原系統の廃隧道(愛川町) (Yokosukasuidō Hambara Keitō No Hai Sui Dō)

横須賀水道半原系統は、大日本帝国海軍が中津川を水源として引いた53キロにも及ぶ水道路(軍港水道半原系統)。 1918(大正7)年に通水し、翌1919(大正8)年3月には走水水道施設が横須賀市に無償貸与され、横須賀市上水道の水源となった この水道施設は、昭和29(1954)年横須賀市に譲渡され長らく利用されていたが、施設の老朽化などにより、平成19(2007)年4月取水停止となった 愛川町には横須賀水道に使われていた複数の隧道跡などが見られる。
