(Kyū Katsusebashi)

Old · Katsuhashi Bridge

Old · Katsuhashi bridge was a bridge over Sagami-ko in Midori-ku, Sagamihara-shi, Kanagawa prefecture. In 1959, the original suspension bridge was changed to Japan's first oblique Zhang Bridge, with a bridge length of 128 m and a cap of 4 m. Oblique bridge is a structure that supports a girder diagonally from the towers of both the banks, and the Yokohama Bay Bridge has a similar structure. The tower used the suspension bridge main tower of the former bridge as it was, and there were marks of machine gun sweeps due to air raids during the war. The Asahi swamp which is the stage of the Ultra Seven "Cyborg strategy" said that Sagami Lake in Kanagawa Prefecture was a location location, and the bridge over which the pointer crossed was Katsubashi Bridge. Although it was also chosen as a 100 bridge of the Kanagawa bridge, it was replaced by Shin-Katsuhashi Bridge, which was launched in 2006, and it was dismantled in 2009. As of October 2018, the concrete remains as abutment remains.
