サムエル・コッキング苑の煉瓦温室 (Samueru・kokkingu En No Renga Onshitsu)

サムエル・コッキング苑は神奈川県藤沢市の江の島にある観光施設。現役施設であり廃墟ではない。 1882年(明治15年)に横浜在住のアイルランド人貿易商のサムエル・コッキングが植物園として開園。 園内に作られた煉瓦造りの温室が関東大震災で崩壊。1949年の植物園工事で地下に埋め込まれたものが2002年のリニューアル工事の際再発見された。遺構は3棟の南北に長い温室の基礎と東南に長い温室基礎、西洋風のシンメトリーな形の池、温室の北側に設けられた付属施設であるボイラー室・燃料を入れた貯炭庫・植物や暖房のために水を蓄えた貯水槽・温室と付属施設とを結ぶ地下通路・冷たい風を遮るための防風壁や集水用陶管など。 普段は閉鎖されているが、年に数回特別なイベントがあるときだけ公開され、内部を見学できる。

Samuel Cocking Garden is a tourist facility located in Enoshima, Fujisawa city, Kanagawa prefecture. It is an active facility and not ruins. In 1882 (Meiji 15), Samuel Cocking of an Irish trader in Yokohama opened as a botanical garden. Brick-made greenhouse made in the garden collapsed in the Great Kanto Earthquake. Those embedded in the basement at the botanical garden construction in 1949 were rediscovered during the renewal construction in 2002. The remains consists of the foundation of a long greenhouse in the three north and south, a long greenhouse foundation in the southwest, a pond in a symmetrical form in the Western style, a boiler room which is an attached facility installed in the north side of the greenhouse · a coal storage room containing fuel · a plant A water reservoir that stores water for heating, an underground passage connecting the greenhouse and accessory facilities, windbreak walls for shielding cold winds, porcelain tubes for collecting water and the like. Although it is normally closed, it can be seen only when there are special events several times a year, and you can see inside.
