熊延鉄道(八角トンネル) (Kuma Nobe Tetsudō)

熊延鉄道(ゆうえんてつどう)は、かつて熊本県熊本市の南熊本駅から同県下益城郡砥用町(現・美里町)の砥用駅までを結んでいた鉄道路線およびその運営会社である。1964年(昭和39年)に廃止された。 地図は通称「八角トンネル」。実際はトンネルではなく、両側の岩が崩れるのを防ぐために作られた洞門。 また馬門橋の近く、佐俣 - 釈迦院間には第二津留川橋梁の橋脚も残っている。

Rinko Rinko (octagonal tunnel)

Rinko Railway (Yuen Tetsudo) is a railroad line and its management company which had previously connected from the Minamikumoto station in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, to the abrasive station of Mizushima Town (present · Misato Town) in the same prefecture. It was abolished in 1964 (Showa 39). The map is known as "octagonal tunnel". Actually it is a tunnel, not a tunnel, but a sun gate made to prevent the rocks on both sides from collapsing. Also near the Ma Gate Bridge, between the Sata-Shakain, the bridge piers of the second Tsurumigawa bridge remains.
