津奈木町立赤崎小学校 (Tsunagi Chōritsu Akasaki Shōgakkō)

津奈木町立赤崎小学校(つなぎちょうりつあかさきしょうがっこう)は熊本県葦北郡津奈木町の学校。 1874(明治7)年4月に創立。1893(明治26)年に赤崎尋常小学校と改称。1918(大正7)年に水産補習学校を併設。 1941(昭和16)年4月に赤崎国民学校と改称、戦後1947(昭和22)年4月、津奈木村立赤崎小学校と改称。1963(昭和38)年4月に津奈木町立赤崎小学校となる。 1976(昭和51)年、現存する校舎竣工。 2010(平成22)年3月、津奈木町立津奈木小学校へ統合となり閉校した。 狭い土地を有効利用するため、校舎が八代海の海上にあることで知られ、テレビ等でも取り上げられることがあった。

Akasaki Elementary School

Akasaki Elementary School (Tsunagi Chorytsu Akasaki Shogakko) is a school in Tsunaki Town, Ashikita District, Kumamoto Prefecture. Established in April 1874. Renamed Akasaki Jinjo Elementary School in 1893. A fisheries supplementary school was established in 1918 (Taisho 7). Renamed Akasaki National School in April 1941, renamed Tsunagi Village Akasaki Elementary School in April 1947 (Showa 22) after the war. In 1963 (Showa 38), it became Akasaki Elementary School in Tsunagi Town. In 1976, the existing school building was completed. In March 2010 (Heisei 22), it was integrated with Tsunagi elementary school and closed. In order to make effective use of the small land, the school building was known to be on the sea of the Yatsushiro Sea, and was sometimes featured on television and other media.
