大川ループは、山野線（やまのせん）の久木野 - 薩摩布計間にあった九州唯一の通過可能なループ線。 山野線は、熊本県水俣市の水俣駅から鹿児島県姶良郡湧水町の栗野駅までを結んでいた、JR九州の鉄道路線である。国鉄分割民営化後の1988年に廃止された。 航空写真で見るとループがはっきりと確認できる。
Okawa Loop is the only loopable line that Kyushu can pass through between Hisaki and Satsuma cloths on Yamano Line (Yamanose). The Yamano line is a JR Kyushu railway line connecting Minamata station in Minamata City in Kumamoto Prefecture to Kurano station in Aira County, Kagoshima Prefecture. It was abolished in 1988 after privatization of the National Railway Split. Looping can be clearly seen when looking at aerial photographs.
