太平寺は、滋賀県坂田郡伊吹村(現・滋賀県米原市)にあった廃村集落。 伊吹山中腹、標高450mの特異な立地にあった。昭和38年(1963年)閉村。 奈良時代よりの山岳信仰の拠点として多くの修行者が集い、ソバの名産地として知られた。 現在も家屋跡や仏像などが残るというが、セメント会社の構内となっており、一般の人は立ち入ることができない。
