太平寺(米原市) (Taiheiji)

太平寺は、滋賀県坂田郡伊吹村(現・滋賀県米原市)にあった廃村集落。 伊吹山中腹、標高450mの特異な立地にあった。昭和38年(1963年)閉村。 奈良時代よりの山岳信仰の拠点として多くの修行者が集い、ソバの名産地として知られた。 現在も家屋跡や仏像などが残るというが、セメント会社の構内となっており、一般の人は立ち入ることができない。

Taiheiji (Maibara-shi)

Taiheiji is a village of waste village in Ibuki village (current · Shiga prefecture Yonebara city) in Shiga prefecture Sakata gun. Mt. Ibuki was in a unique location with an altitude of 450 m. Showa 38 (1963) closed village. Many trainees gathered as a hub of mountain beliefs from the Nara era and was known as a famous place of buckwheat. Although it is said that remains of houses and Buddhist statues still remain at present, it is on the premises of the cement company and ordinary people can not enter.
