倉沢集落 (Kurasawa Shūraku)

倉沢集落は、東京都西多摩郡奥多摩町の廃村。 炭焼きを生業とした山村集落だったが、昭和30年代、石灰鉱山の社宅が造成され、最盛期は数十の家庭が暮らしていた。その後、鉱山の衰退に伴い住民は離散。 東京都指定天然記念物の「倉沢のヒノキ」がある。推定樹齢600年、幹周6.3m、樹高約33m。 建物のほとんどは平成17年に取り壊されたらしい。

Kurasawa Village

Kurasawa Village is a scrapped village in Okutama Town, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo. Yamamura settlement with charcoal burning as a living but in the Showa 30 's, a company house of lime mine was established, and dozens of families lived in the peak period. After that, the residents were separated as the mine declined. There is "Tokyo Cypress Hinoki" of Tokyo designated designated natural treasure. Estimated age of 600 years, trunk circumference 6.3 m, tree height about 33 m. It seems that most of the buildings were demolished in 2005.
