西川鉱山 (Nishikawa Kōzan)

西川鉱山は新潟県東蒲原郡阿賀町(旧・上川村)にあった鉱山。 江戸末期に金・銀・銅鉱として採掘されたらしい。明治21年に白岩鉱山と称して白岩において金・銀・鉛鉱を採掘した。明治42年には芳小屋鉱山として金・銀・銅鉱を目的として試掘したが中止。大正4年、飯田虎太郎氏が西川鉱山と改め亜鉛および銅を採掘した。 その後鉱業権は転々とし、昭和24年に日興産金合資会社が設立され金・銀・銅・錯・亜鉛・硫化鉄鉱が採掘された。

Nishikawa mine

Nishikawa mine was a mine located in Aga-machi (formerly Kamikawa village) in Niigata prefecture Higashi Kanbara-gun. It seems that it was mined as gold, silver and copper ore at the end of Edo. In the Meiji 21 era gold, silver and lead ore in Shiroi called Mt. Shiraishi mine. In the Meiji 42 year we tried to prospect for gold, silver and copper ore as Yoshinoya mine but stopped. In Taisho 4 years, Mr. Toratarou Iida mined the Nishikawa mine and mined zinc and copper. Afterwards mining right was incessant, in 1954 the Nippon Kanzai Co., Ltd. was founded and gold, silver, copper, complex, zinc and iron sulphide were mined.
