(Ishida Kan Myō Daka Hoteru)

Ishida Museum Myoko Hotel

Ishida Museum Myoko Hotel is a hotel in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture. It is located along prefectural road Route 39. It is a long-established hotel that opened Myoko Onsen during the Taisho period as a hotel of descendants of the warring military commander Sanada Ishida and became a corporation in July 1948 (Showa 23). It became popular as a lodging facility for skiers in the Myoko area, and in addition to the traditional wooden building, a reinforced concrete building was added in December 1972 (Showa 47). Sales fell due to a decrease in skiers, and a landslide happened at the source of Myoko Onsen in May 2011 (see also 2011). We applied for bankruptcy to the Niigata District Court Takada Branch in July 2013 and suspended operations. After closing on January 31, 2015, the old wooden two-story building completely destroyed with the weight of snow.
