新津油田 (Nītsu Yuden)

新津油田(にいつゆでん)は新潟県新潟市秋葉区新津地区(旧・新津市)にあった油田。 江戸期以前より知られていたが、1874年に地域の庄屋であった中野家が政府に採掘を出願、翌年開坑。後に日本石油(現在の新日本石油)も参入し、1917年には産油量日本一となる。1980年代に組織的な採掘がほぼ終了、1996年閉鎖。 中野家の屋敷跡を中心に公園が整備されている他、丘陵地帯に施設跡などが残っており、管理されている。

Niitsu oil field

Niitsu oil field (Niitsu-boon) is an oil field located in the Niitsu area in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture (formerly Niitsu City). Although it was known before the Edo period, the Nakano family who was a local shooya in 1874 applied for mining to the government and opened the following year. Nippon Oil (current Nippon Oil Corporation) also entered later, in 1917 it will be Japan's largest oil production. Organized mining almost ended in the 1980s, closed in 1996. In addition to the maintenance of the park centered on Nakano family residence tracks, facility marks remain in hilly areas and are managed.
