(Ikeda Kyō)

Ikedabashi (Miyoshi City)

Ikeda Bridge is an unformed bridge located in Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture. Located near Ikeda Tunnel, Suwa Shrine, and Suwa Park. Sometimes referred to as "Old Miyoshi Bridge". It was planned at the end of 1931 by Mayor Ikeda's Mayor Sakutaro Tahara, Koichi Kawasaki and Yukio Wakimachi. Construction was started in February 1932, with a bridge length of 221 meters and a width of 5.6 meters. However, in the summer of 1933 (Showa 8), the northern pier of the two piers fell due to flooding, and thereafter The southern pier collapsed, leaving only Pier. Sakutaro Tahara also died in March 1395, and the Ikedabashi Shunari Committee was formed in January 1937, but the work died without being resumed. There is a reinforced concrete bridge entrance facing both sides of the Yoshino River. The southern end of the bridge can also be seen from aerial photographs, and the north side is easily visible from the road because it is right next to Prefectural Road 267.
