(Kimu Akira Kōzan)

Kim Mye mine

Kim Mye Mine was a mine in Hiroshima prefecture Hiroshima-shi Azabuki-ku (formerly Takayo-cho). Copper, zinc and iron sulfide were mined. It is reported that it was operated as a silver mine by the Asano lord in the Edo period. During the Meiji and Taisho era, mining was done, and in earnest in 1945 the mining was seriously mined. Mr. Yoshinaga Fumiyoshi set up the mining right in 1954, financed by the Empire Mining Development Stock Association loan, founded a mining site and started to act grandly after the end of the war. In 1951 the burning site was destroyed, the mining right holder died, etc. In 1954 the mining right moved to Daexing Industry. Restarted October 1952. We sold hand-selected concentrate to Nippon Mining Co., Ltd. and Saganoki smelter. Closed mountain in 1969. The wellhead was shut down to prevent mine pollution, but it seems there is an important pit mark in the mountain. The map is an approximate point.
