鷺鉱山 (Sagi Kōzan)

鷺鉱山(さぎこうざん)は島根県出雲市にあった鉱山。鷺銅山(さぎどうざん)とも呼ばれる。 石見銀山の先駆けを成した古い銅山で、室町時代から採掘されたという。明治36年には労働者217名を擁したという。 経営は久原鉱業、大宝鉱業、三井金属鉱業(株)と移り1970年閉山。 石組み跡、坑口跡が残る。川を挟んだ反対側に施設跡などがあったらしいが不詳。

Hiraga mine

A milder mine (Sagima-zan) was a mine in Izumo-shi, Shimane prefecture. It is also called a herring copper mound. It is an old copper mine that formed the forerunner of Iwami Ginzan, said that it was mined from the Muromachi Period. In the Meiji 36 year, he said he had 217 workers.
