茂倉鉱山 (Shigeru Kura Kōzan)

茂倉鉱山は山梨県南巨摩郡早川町にあった鉱山。 明治39年試掘。鉱業権は転々とし、昭和12年より土肥鉱山が管理した。 前山・後山の二つから構成され、1931(昭和6)年に後山が開山。金・銀・鉛・亜鉛が採掘されたが1936(昭和11)年閉山。 1938(昭和13)年頃に後山が開山、主に石膏が採掘された。一時衰退するも、鉱山復興会議で重要指定工業所となり再興、昭和30年代前半に最盛期を迎え、一日60~70tの石膏を産出、茂倉集落には400人もの人が住んだという。 その後輸入鉱石の増加に伴い、1968(昭和43)年頃閉山。 前山の四つの坑道の一部は茂倉集落の直下付近まで伸びているという。トロ道と呼ばれるトロッコ軌道が整備され、架線場に集められた鉱石は索道で県道沿いの中洲集落へと送られていた。 事務所跡の基礎、作業小屋や山神様、火薬庫、架線場跡、巻き上げ機台座、封鎖された坑口跡など、多くの遺構が見られる。

Morakura Mine

Mokura mine was a mine in Yamanashi ken Minamikami gun, Hayakawa cho. Experiment drill in Meiji 39. The mining rights took turns, and Daito mine managed it in 1956. It is composed of Maeyama and Maeyama, and the mountains later opened in 1931 (Showa 6). Gold, silver, lead and zinc were mined but closed in 1936 (Showa 11). After 1938 (Showa 13) Aoyama opened, mainly plaster mined. Although it temporarily declined, it became an important designated industrial center at the mine reconstruction meeting, revived, reached its peak in the first half of the 1950s, produced 60-70 tons of gypsum per day, and 400 people lived in the Motegura village. Following the increase of imported ore, closed around 1968 (Showa 43). Some of Maeyama's four tunnels are said to extend to just under Mogura village. A trackhead called Toro Road was developed and the ore collected in the catenary was sent as a cableway to the Nakasu village along the prefectural road. There are many remnants such as the foundation of the office site, work hut and mountain gods, powderhouse, overhead track, hoisting machine pedestal, blocked well head site.
