(Nanatsuishi Jinja)

Shichitsuishi Shrine

Nanatsuishi Shrine is a shrine just below the top of the mountain of Nanatsuishi at the boundary between Tokyo and Yamanashi Prefecture. The origin of the mountain name of Nanatsuishi mountain comes from the limestone rock mass to the top, and there is a legend that this rough rock has been petrified by seven warriors who co-ordinated with Hiramune. The shrimps stone shrine just below the top ensures the spirits of these seven warriors. This shrine is a national holiday on April 8, and villagers from the Tamba mountain village kotowa district worshiped on this day, and a gambling site was opened in the flat area called "the shrine" in front of the shrine and the middle shrine. Banks are quite big, and besides the Tamba mountain village, the boss of Ome Shimizu's pupils also took off, and it was said that it was opened until about 1961. Due to the aging of Miyoshi and Ms. Children, it became difficult to climb to the shrine just below the summit, and the shrine was relocated to the Hagiro Shrine in the kimono village. The shrine just below the summit is still a stone lantern but the torii, the shrine has collapsed and become ruins. Dismantled April 2018.
