谷口銀山 (Taniguchiginzan)

谷口銀山は、山形県最上郡金山町にあった銀山。 1622年に開鉱。義経ゆかりの金売吉次の発見と伝えられる。 新庄藩主戸沢政盛が入部してから本格的に開発され、最盛期は新庄藩初期、寛永から慶安(1624-51)にかけてみられている。災害により各坑道が浸水、寛文2年(1662年)に休山となった。その後度々再開が試みられたが、弘化2年(1845)に閉山。 現在地元保存会が案内を行なっており、予約すれば内部の見学も可能。

Taniguchi ginzan

Taniguchi Ginzan is a silver mine located in Kanayama cho, Mogami-gun, Yamagata prefecture. Opening in 1622. It is reported as the discovery of Yoshiji Yoshimi with Yoshinori Yoshinori. It was developed seriously since Shinjo lord owner Masaru Tozawa entered, the peak period is seen in the early Shinjo clan, from Kanaga to Keio (1624-51). Each gallery was flooded due to a disaster, and it was closed on 2nd year (1662). Although it was tried repeatedly afterwards, it closed down in Hiroshi 2nd year (1845). The local preservation society is currently giving guidance, and if you make a reservation you can also visit the inside.
