門司検疫所彦島措置場 (Moji Ken'eki Sho Hikojima Sochi Jō)

門司検疫所彦島措置場は山口県下関市にあった検疫施設。海外からの入国者に対して伝染病を国内に持ち込まないように検疫を行う施設だった。 1885年(明治18年)にコレラの消毒業務を行う「内務省下ノ関消毒所」として開設。1915年に現施設が開設。1941年からは、中国人強制連行者・捕虜検疫施設として、1943年からは、彦島疾病兵捕虜収容所として利用された。戦後は、引き上げ援護局として機能し、1951年に門司検疫所彦島措置場となった。1976年にコレラ患者6人が収容されたのを最後に、措置場としての機能を終え、1999年3月に閉鎖された。 2001年末に解体。門柱と周囲の看板だけが残っているという。

Moji Quarantine Station Hikojima Measuring Platform

Monju Quarantine Station Hikojima Measuring Place was a quarantine facility located in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It was a facility that conducts quarantine to prevent infectious diseases from entering the country to foreign visitors. In 1885 (Meiji 18) opened the "disinfecting department of Ministry of Interior ministry" which conducts the disinfection work of cholera. Current facility opened in 1915. Since 1941, it was used as a Chinese forced pedestrian / prisoner quarantine facility, since 1943 it was used as a Hikojima disease troop prison camp. After the war, it functioned as a raising support station, and in 1951 it became the Moji Quarantine Station Hikojima Measuring Place. Finally, in 1976, 6 cholera patients were housed, and finished functioning as a measure place, it was closed in March 1999. Dismantled at the end of 2001. Only the gate and surrounding signs are said to remain.
