(Matsuho Do Kōzan)

Matsuo earth mine

Matsuo earth mine is a mine located in Kurihara city in Miyagi prefecture (formerly Kurihara gun, Yuzuzawa machi). It is also said to have been executed yearly in Tempo. Gold, silver and copper were mined from around 1906, surviving as a copper mine in wartime, closed in 1983. There is a sedimentary field downstream of the rain that is sandwiched between the hairpin curves of the forest road. Approximately 70 m north of the roadway is locked with a well headed as "Takinosawa-dori". There is also a working hut which is thought to have been used during mining around 1989 between the wellhead and the sedimentary site.
