奥番地区 (Oku Ban Chiku)

奥番(おくばん)地区は、和歌山県田辺市本宮町の集落。 計8世帯10人が農業などを営みながら居住していたが、2011年9月4日の台風12号による土砂崩れのため壊滅、全住民が移転を余儀なくされた。 同区の氏神神社、野下宮は倒壊を免れ、現在も秋祭りが継続されている。

Oku area

The Okuno (ladybun) district is a village in Honmiya-cho, Tanabe-shi, Wakayama prefecture. Ten people in total of eight households lived in agriculture and others, but because of landslides caused by Typhoon No. 12 on September 4, 2011, all the inhabitants were forced to relocate. The Shogun Shrine in the same district, Nogamiya is escaped from collapse, and the autumn festival is still being continued now.
