藤ヶ谷陸軍飛行場 (Fuji Ke Tani Rikugun Hikōjō)

藤ヶ谷陸軍飛行場は現在の千葉県柏市から鎌ケ谷市にあった旧軍施設。 1932年武蔵野カントリークラブ「藤ヶ谷コース」として開発され、東洋一のゴルフ場と言われたが、1945年4月に陸軍省が接収、藤ヶ谷飛行場となる。同年9月、米第5空軍進駐、アメリカ空軍白井基地(Shiroi Air Base) となる。1959年12月に米第5空軍撤退、1960年6月基地全面返還。現在は海上自衛隊下総航空基地となっている。 旧軍の遺構はほとんど見られないが、鎌ヶ谷市軽井沢の山林中に地下格納庫と見られる遺構が見られるらしい。

Fujigaya Army Airfield

Fujigaya Army Airfield is an old military facility located in Kamagaya City from Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. It was developed as Musashino Country Club "Fujigaya Course" in 1932 and was said to be the Oriental golf course, but in April 1945 the Ministry of the Army took over and became Fujigaya Airfield. In September of the same year, the United States Air Force Shiroi Air Base (Shiroi Air Base) will be stationed in the 5th Air Force. In December 1959, withdrawal of the US 5th Air Force, June 1960 full refund of the base. Currently it is the Maritime Self-Defense Force Shimousair Air Base. Although the remains of the old army are hardly seen, it seems that you can see the underground hangars found in the forest of Karuizawa, Kamigaya City.
