由良炭鉱 (Yura Tankō)

由良炭鉱は兵庫県洲本市にあった亜炭炭鉱。 かつては淡路炭鉱と呼ばれた。 大正10年頃山田初三によつて試掘され、大正13年頃まで続いたが、その後鉱業権者が点々とし休業。昭和19年11月に松浦芳一が鉱業権を譲り受け、同20年1月から試掘を始め、終戦により未着炭のまま作業中止。その後昭和21年4月立坑を開削。 地図位置付近に立坑、斜坑などが複数あったが現況不詳。

Yura Coal Mine

Yura Coal Mine was a lignite coal mine located in Sumoto City, Hyogo Prefecture. It was once called Awaji Coal Mine. It was prospected by the first time Yamada in the Taisho era10 and continued until around Taisho 13, but afterwards the mining right holder was closed temporarily. Mr. Yoichi Matsuura handed over the mining right in November 1949, began prospecting from January 20, stopped working as unfinished coal at the end of the war. After that, the shaft was opened in April 1942. There were a number of shafts, inclined shafts etc. near the map position, but the current situation is unknown.
