立川炭鉱 (Tachikawa Tankō)

立川炭鉱は佐賀県伊万里市にあった炭鉱。 1936年、大日鉱業(株)が開坑。 1939年7月22日、ガス爆発により30名が死亡。1942年12月12日、ガス爆発により50人死亡。 1965年に本坑を閉坑、新坑を開坑。1970年に閉山。 本坑付近に朽ちたコンクリート建物、レンガ造りの通風坑らしき遺構が見られ、選炭場にもコンクリート遺構が残る。 ほかに記念碑などが残る。

Tachikawa Coal Mine

Tachikawa Coal Mine was a coal mine in Imari city, Saga Prefecture. Dainichi Mining Co., Ltd. opened in 1936. On July 22, 1939, 30 people died due to a gas explosion. On December 12, 1942, 50 people died due to a gas explosion. Closed the main pit in 1965, opened the new pit. Closed mountain in 1970. A decayed concrete building and a brick-made ventilation pit-like remnant are seen in the vicinity of the main shaft, and the concrete remains remains in the coal mining plant. Other monuments remain.
