岩屋炭鉱 (Iwaya Tankō)

岩屋炭鉱は佐賀県唐津市にあった炭鉱。 1900(明治33)年、貝島鉱業(後の貝島炭鉱)が東松浦郡相知町・厳木村・西松浦郡大川村にまたがる岩屋鉱区を買収。1909(明治42)年に岩屋鉱業所を設置。 1915(大正4)年には約18万トン、ピークとなる1927(昭和2)年には約30万トンを出炭した。 1921(大正10)年、大辻岩屋炭鉱株式会社を設立。1931(昭和6)年、貝島鉱業、貝島商業・大辻岩屋炭鉱が合併し貝島炭鉱株式会社となる。 1938(昭和13)年に第三坑、1940(昭和15)年に第五坑を開坑。 1948(昭和23)年、大辻と岩屋は貝島炭鉱から分離。 岩屋炭鉱は高倉鉱業所岩屋炭鉱となり、1953(昭和28)年には高倉鉱業の単独経営となる。 1965(昭和40)年に閉山。 第三坑にはボタ山跡、ホッパー跡が残り、第五坑には鉱員住宅跡(一部居住者あり)、転用された配給所跡(購買?)、橋脚跡などが見られる。 また第五坑付近には閉山後に始められた養豚場が閉鎖されその施設跡も見られる。

Iwaya Coal Mine

Iwaya Coal Mine was a coal mine in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. In the third pit in 1938 (Showa 13), opened the fifth pit in 1940 (Showa 15). In 1948 (Showa 23), Otsuji and Iwaya separated from Kaizenjima coal mine. The Iwadaya coal mine will be Takakura Mining Iwaya Coal Mine, and in 1953 (Showa 28) will be the sole management of Takakura Mining. Closed mountain in 1965 (Showa 40) year. In the third pit, the Botanical ruins and the hopper traces remain, and the fifth pit contains the trace of a mining house (some residents are present), the ruins of a distribution site (purchasing?), A bridge pedestrian trace and the like.
