愛宕山鉄道(愛宕山ケーブル) (Atagoyama Tetsudō)

愛宕山鉄道(あたごさんてつどう)は、現在の京都府京都市右京区の嵐山駅から清滝駅までの普通鉄道路線と、清滝川駅から愛宕駅までのケーブルカーを第二次世界大戦前に運営していた鉄道事業者。 路線沿いにリゾート開発が計画されていたが、戦時中に全線が不要不急線に指定されたことから廃線となり、ホテルなどの観光施設もすべて閉鎖された。 平坦線の跡地は清滝道として道路に改修された。ケーブルカー遺構も清滝川駅跡地や線路跡、愛宕駅の駅舎建物などが残存しているが、愛宕駅舎は崩壊しかけており、また6つあるトンネルのうち2つは内部が崩壊していて、非常に危険な状態になっている。 地図は愛宕山駅。
