Atago ski resort

Atago ski resort is a ski resort in Kyoto Ward, Kyoto Prefecture. In 1928 (Showa 3), it was opened by Ryujiro Nakayama, the first principal of the formerly established Kyoto Second Junior High School (presently the Kyoto Prefectural Toba Senior High School). At that time he was proud of the largest scale in Kansai. In 1944, it was closed following the abolishment of the Atagoyama railway due to the provision of iron materials. The bust of Nakayama principal was also offered, only the pedestal remains.
