朝熊山ケーブルカー (Asa Kumayama Kēburukā)

朝熊山ケーブルカーは、三重県伊勢市・鳥羽市の朝熊山にあった朝熊登山鉄道のケーブルカー。 1925年(大正14年)開通。第二次世界大戦中の1944年(昭和19年)にケーブルカーの線路が軍に軍需物資として徴収されたため休止。第二次世界大戦後に再開されることなく1962年(昭和37年)に正式に廃線となる。 1078mで高低差415mを登り、東洋一の急勾配とされた。 路盤跡のほか、平岩駅(山麓駅)プラットホーム跡、隧道跡、朝熊岳駅(山頂駅)などの遺構が残る。朝熊岳駅跡は2006年(平成18年)に鉄条網で囲われ近寄れなくなった。 朝熊岳駅付近には往時の施設らしい建屋跡も見られる。 極めて急な勾配のため、路盤等を確認するのは危険である。

Asakuma mountain cable car

Asahikuma cable car is a cable car of the Asama beach climbing railroad that was in the Asakuma mountain in Ise city, Toba City, Mie prefecture. Opened in 1925 (Taisho in 2002). In 1944 during World War II, cable car railway was suspended because it was collected as military supplies in the army. It was officially declared in 1962 (1964) without being resumed after World War II. At 1078 m, the height difference was climbed to 415 m, and it was regarded as the steepest gradient in the East. In addition to the roadbed traces, the remains of Hiraiwa station (mountain foot station) platform remains, tunnel trace, Asakuma dake station (mountaintop station) remains. The trace of the station of Asakuma dake station was surrounded by a steel wire net in 2006 (Heisei era 2006) and it can not come near. In the vicinity of Asakuma dake station there are also trace of the building which seems to be of the former facilities. Due to the extremely steep slope, it is dangerous to check the roadbed etc.
